Thanks for your interest to celebrate Flores de Mayo with the rest of the Filipino Community by joining these contests. Here are the Guidelines and Mechanics.
ALTAR MAKING FOR MAMA MARY
Guidelines and mechanics of the contest:
- The contest is open to all parishioners of St. Mary’s Church, Dubai.
- The contest is limited to one altar per family, a group of flat.
- Participants will decorate their altars with various materials and elements that embody the theme of May Flower Festival.
- Submit recorded video while making the altar & at least 2 photos of the whole group along with the final product & at least 2 photos of the final product.
- Entries must be submitted not later than May 7, 2021 (Saturday) to PATERNO INONG JR at [email protected].
Criteria for judging:
a.Relevance to the theme 30%
b.Presentation 25%
c.Originality 25%
d.Visual Impact 20%
DRESS LIKE MARY
Guidelines and mechanics of the contest:
- The contest is open to all girls up to 12 years old and all parishioners of St. Mary’s Church, Dubai.
- All contestants/candidates must be dressed with any of the following titles of Mary;
a.Our Lady of Fatima
b.Our Lady of Lourdes
c.Our Lady of Guadalupe
d.Our Lady of Manaoag
e.Our Lady of Peace & Good Voyage
f.Our Lady of Piat
g.Our Lady of Porta Varga
h.Our Lady of the Rocks
i.Our Lady of Turumba
j.Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal
k.Our Lady of Mount Carmel
l.Our Lady of the Pillar
m.Our Lady of La Naval del Manila
n.others - Entries must be submitted not later than May 1, 2021 (Saturday) to PATERNO INONG JR at [email protected]. Submit at least 5 photos (front, sides & back) with photos of Mama Mary portrayed.
- All girls will be judged according to their costume and how they portray according to the virtues of Mary.
Top 4 candidates will be declared as Mary look-a-like winner: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Runner
Criteria for judging:
a.Costume & Creativity 50%
b.Projection/Portrayal of Mary 30%
c.Poise & Personality 20%
THROWBACK SANTACRUZAN
Guidelines and mechanics of the contest:
- The contest is open to all parishioners of St. Mary’s Church, Dubai.
- Contestants may post as many photos as they can from April 10 until May 20, 2021.
- Images must be original and taken personally by the participant.
- Add caption, in English, when the photo is taken and use #StMarysFilComMayflower2021.
- Like SMC Filipino FB Page.
Criterion: Top 3 photos with the most likes and hearts will be declared as the winners.
