“Do not let your heart be troubled.”

Home|Reflections|“Do not let your heart be troubled.”

Good morning, good people.

May the Risen Lord give you peace in the Holy Spirit!

It is 26th April 2024.

We reflect on Acts 13:26-33 and John 14:1-6.

“Do not let your heart be troubled.”

God never changed His perception of us, but we shift our reception with God repeatedly.

St. Paul continues to expound the salvation history and Jesus as the Good News to the people.

Whenever we are troubled and perturbed, we all want to know at some point in life the answers to our questions. Which way to go? What is the right thing to do? How to speak a perfect word that heals?

Finding the answers to them all is a life journey.

Jesus assures each one of us that whatever life situation we are in, “Do not let your heart be troubled.”

During these overwhelming moments of life, His words are a soothing relief to us all.  Just repeat these words of healing for the entire day.

Countless waves of thoughts and emotions go unprocessed daily and hit the tender walls of our hearts.

Jesus uttered these words of comfort and hope just before the brutal end of His life.  God wants to accommodate every one of us through Jesus, who being a servant of God, prepares everything for us.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

In today’s Gospel, on behalf of us all, St. Thomas posed the question we dare to ask Jesus,  “Which way to go and how do we know it is the right?”.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”

May we believe Jesus and His life-giving Words that allow us to have a place near God always.

Have a peaceful day.

God bless you.
