Buklod Tinig
BUKLOD TINIG belongs to the Liturgical Ministry of the St. Mary’s Dubai Filipino Community and is composed of ten (10) choirs. These choirs serve during the English and Filipino masses. BUKLOD TINIG was formed by Fr. Zaki Parra, OFM Cap., in 2006, with Mr. Rudolph “Bobby” Cruz as the initial coordinator. He was succeeded by Ms. Rodelyn Pillosis in September 2011 during Fr.Tomasito Veneracion’s tenure as Parish Priest.
In its earlier years, Buklod Tinig was often invited to perform at Al Nasr Leisure Land during Philippine Independence Day celebrations. Its most notable performances were during the Simbang Gabi 2006/2007, the Year of Faith 2013, and Simbang Gabi 2014. Since the Filipinos are known for their excellence in music, it comes as no surprise that Buklod Tinig regularly performs in various significant Parish celebrations, even Filipino celebrations outside the church.
Purpose/Objectives:
- To serve God through songs of praises
- To lead the congregation during mass services
- To promote camaraderie within Filipino Community
- To share and contribute talents
- To participate in all activities within the Parish
The Filipino Liturgical Ministry to which Buklod Tinig belongs is led by Mr. Poli Tinaja.
In 2014, when Fr. Chito Bartolo, OFM Cap., became the Filipino Community Spiritual Director, he introduced new activities for the community such as Lenten Proclamation, Monthly Spiritual Formation, Harana Kay Maria, and Holyween, among others. Buklod Tinig is always part of these.
The much-loved FilCom program, Harana Kay Maria, that is celebrated every September, is considered as the major activity handled by Buklod Tinig. Commemorating the Blessed Mother’s Nativity, Harana Kay Maria is a beautiful musical program where the community, even the parish, watch the magnificent performance of all ten (10) choirs. It’s one musical event where all choirs gather together to serenade Mama Mary.

Other than Parish level and Filipino community activities, for the members’ spiritual growth and to promote kinship and community life, we have spiritual formation, sports fest, and regular get-together.
